Today is mothers day...

As I look back to the happenings of the past months, I have only one thing in my heart: Gratitude.

Gratitude to God for his unfailing love for me, especially the times when I felt so alone and so forsaken. God never left me, He never left my side.. I could feel his arms around me, I could hear his voice speaking to me, telling me how much he loved me, reminding me of how good his plans for me are..

Gratitude to God that I am still a mother to such a beautiful child ,gratitude to God that every time she looks at me my heart wells up with joy. Gratitude that despite all she has been through she can still smile, a smile that lights up a room and leaves such an impression on any heart.

Gratitude to God that my marriage is still solid strong. The challenges have made us closer and stronger, Gratitude to God that am still so in love with my husband...Gratitude that what would have easily destroyed our home God is using to bless and bind us together.

Gratitude to God that my love for him has grown more, gratitude that even though the enemy has tried to steal my joy in divers ways my joy has remained intact..

Gratitude to God that I believe him more than I did yesterday...my faith in him is unchanging. If God has said it..I believe it and that settles it.

Dear reader..do you see the glass half full or half empty...
How you see life reflects in your attitude towards life..
God wants us to have an attitude of thanksgiving no matter what we go through in life
He says BE THANKFUL....
say A prayer of thanksgiving right now...you have so much to be grateful for!

Indeed, I have every reason to be grateful. My Pastor reminds us "if you have lost anything, God is the reason you did not loose everything".
I remain thankful to God cos He has made all things well. Lord am Grateful for my Home, Husband, Son and job. Thank you Lord.

WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

Before the novelty of the new year wears off Let me take time to welcome you to 2015 and wish you a great year.. I so love a new year,it is a constant reminder of the Kind of God we serve.. who gives us another opportunity To start again, dream again, run again..regardless of what May or may not have happened in the past year.. Permit me to take a slow ride down memory lane as I look back at the highlight of my year 2014... I must look back so that I can appreciate  from whence God has brought me and where he is taking me to. I must look back lest I take for granted all he has done for me. I must look back so when the enemy comes to lie to me that God hasn't been good I can count my blessings and make My boast in the Lord. 2years ago after the loss of my daughter I found out that there was a 50/50 chance that the next child I conceived  was also going to die. I remember the consultant looking at I and my husband with a very sad face as he told ...

Who is your father?

Who is your father? I remember the first time I travelled to my village without my parents I must have been in primary school and my dearest grandmother of blessed memory insisted my parents brought me over for the weekend. Village life really and truly intrigued me, I loved the simplicity of communal living and how content everyone seemed, food was eaten fresh from the farms, with the large itigidi river providing fresh fish and water, and in the evenings, a dozen children would gather in my granny’s living room to watch a DVD, what was there not to like, for a child living in the city and raised overseas, village life was exciting, refreshing and alluring. That was the first of many visits, the older i got,  my grandmother became the most influential woman in my life, especially as I had lost my mother at age 14. She was wise, inspiring and I picked up my literary prowess from her as she and my mum piqued my interest in books. She would make me write letters to her and...

Are you taking notes?

Are you taking notes? I am so excited, something is brewing…but I cannot aptly describe it; I know without a shadow of a doubt that something is about to happen. I am so pumped about my future and what God is doing and as I look ahead, I cannot help but reminisce for we cannot truly appreciate how far we have come until we look back. Today I had a flashback to a season of my life where I was overlooked, underrated, and written off. I was that girl with nothing going on for her, I could walk into a room and not be noticed, not because I wasn’t beautiful, attractive or good looking but because when people looked at me in that season, all they could see was what had happened to me. What had happened to me? I had failed and repeated a year in university, I was the assistant class rep that year and I had to be replaced. Oh!  the disgrace and shame I felt, every bit of confidence I had in myself was knocked down. I still remember the silence and hushed tones when s...
