Hope.... that maketh not ashamed!

I couldn't help the tears..as the choir continued to sing
the enormity of Christ's sacrifice literally brought me to my knees
Easter always does that to me..
It is such a humbling reminder of the extent God went to prove
his love for me..
where would I be without Jesus...
I looked over at my husband as He was deep in worship
all I could say was thank you Lord for the hope we have in you..

sometimes I attempt to think of what my life would have
been like If hadn't known Jesus..
truth is... I would probably have been depressed, broken, shattered
and the list would continue...

I won't say that knowing the lord has exempted me from trials and storms
No I have had my fair share as I know you have as well..
But what I love about knowing the lord is that I can still dance in the rain
and sing through my storms...
I wear a genuine smile and when I say it is well..it is because I believe so

Doesn't He promise us that when we go through fire we would not be burnt
and when we go through the waters they would not drown us...
This is what I write about today...The hope we have in christ
The confidence and assurance we have that if God did not spare
His only begotten us,then how would he not graciously give us all things...
This is the hope I write about...A hope that maketh not ashamed!

let me quickly remind you of what hope is:
(To wish for something with expectation of its fulfillment.
To have confidence; trust.
To look forward to with confidence or expectation
To expect and desire.)"thesarus dictionary"
A preacher once said that you have to have hope
 to have faith...
when hope is destroyed, you have nothing to believe God for
you have no expectations...
isn't it peculiar that when we experience a season of nights,
that the first thing we loose after our joy is our hope..
we don't expect to come out alive, all we see is doom..
Once the doctor's report comes we don't expect a change
once the situation gets out of hand..we become hopeless
once the worst that could happen happens...we loose it

I remember exactly this same time last year
I experienced that sort of  hopelessness,I was in despair..
I felt my heart was ripped out and torn in two..
I was hopeless...God seemed far..I was in pain
was I ever going to smile again or forget the pain of loosing a child
it was hard...it still is hard..

As PS 30:5 aptly says...weeping endures for a night
but joy would come in the morning..
one year later I can say of a truth...
the night season has come to an end
and my morning has come.
I have chosen to dwell on God's promises and not the pain
I have traded my sorrow for joy
and I have kept my hope alive....In all things we are more than conquerors
because we have a God who specializes in turning
hopeless situations around..
As long as we keep our eyes on Him and His word
we would not be ashamed...

My husband and I miss our little girl so much..
but we have a hope that does not disappoint
That according to God's promise He would Restore
everything we have lost a hundred fold
This hope keeps us strong..and this hope would continue to fuel our Joy..

My sincere prayer for you reading is that
the magnitude of the hope that Easter brings
would be evident every day in your life and not just during the Easter period
That every hopeless situation would be turned around in Jesus name...AMEN!

I am so convinced in my spirit that as many that are hoping and trusting in God
for one thing or the other that God would bring it to pass in Jesus Name.
It is time to Hope again..the night season is over...

BE ENCOURAGED......

Rom 8:32 New International Version(NIV)
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Romans 5:5King James Version (KJV)
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Isaiah 43:2 English Standard Version(ESV)
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

Before the novelty of the new year wears off Let me take time to welcome you to 2015 and wish you a great year.. I so love a new year,it is a constant reminder of the Kind of God we serve.. who gives us another opportunity To start again, dream again, run again..regardless of what May or may not have happened in the past year.. Permit me to take a slow ride down memory lane as I look back at the highlight of my year 2014... I must look back so that I can appreciate  from whence God has brought me and where he is taking me to. I must look back lest I take for granted all he has done for me. I must look back so when the enemy comes to lie to me that God hasn't been good I can count my blessings and make My boast in the Lord. 2years ago after the loss of my daughter I found out that there was a 50/50 chance that the next child I conceived  was also going to die. I remember the consultant looking at I and my husband with a very sad face as he told ...

THANKSGIVING..

I have never had to struggle for want of what to write but I have literally spent the past minutes just staring at my screen.... where do I start from is the issue at hand How do I compress the faithfulness of GOD to me in just a post...hmmmm.. I turn 28 today..yet it seems I have been here longer.. I marvel at the quality and the richness of my life.. The wealth of experience and all that God has invested in me... For all his many blessings,For his favour and his Presence  Lord for all these and more..I say thank you I woke up today with gratitude, with a heart full of praise...God has been Good to me.. I take a walk down memory lane and I go back 15 years  to a time when I first accepted Jesus. What I am most grateful for is this decision I made to follow hard after JESUS A lot of times I failed Him,strayed away, messed up,blew my chances But His mercy never ceased and  I kept seeking and running after him.. I have come a long way 15 years later,I still l...

She would have been 6 today

She would have been 6 today.... I can only imagine... The feeling I felt when I held her for the 1st time... My first born child,Very surreal I couldn’t believe such a beautiful gift had been given to me. Little did I know that this gift would change my life, our lives forever. She would have been 6 today... As I look back on all that has happened this past 6years My heart is truly full of gratitude. That God chose to enrich our lives with this child That God chose to trust us with this experience I would never have thought in my wildest dreams as I shared the news of my pregnancy with my dear husband that summer of 2011, that months after her birth we would be confronted with news that our precious perfect gift from God had an incurable Genetic condition and that she was going to die. How do you process that... How do you get on your knees and trust God through that How do you still love and serve God in spite of this... How do you deal with the questions,rage,pain,h...
