I HAVE NEWS FOR YOU

News.....

What comes to mind any time someone says I have news for you?
News...hmmmm
I remember a few months ago I was told the outcome of my daughter's test results
and the doctor said..I am afraid it is not great news..

Two things come to mind every time you are told you have news
Two things...FEAR or FAITH...
Fear of the known or Unknown or Faith in the one who Knows it all.

Last week...the same words I heard months ago
were repeated again..
Stella am so sorry but it is not great news..
It took a while for the enormity of the news to sink in.
But as it sunk,I was overcome with emotion
I struggled to hold back tears..not again Lord..
I looked at the report before me
and I could sense fear rising..

What was I going to do..
who was I going to believe
I could hear the holyspirit reminding me of God's promises
That affliction would not arise a second time..
I could hear the enemy saying..but you trusted and had faith but where is the result of your faith...
you prayed, you fasted, you sowed..but where is your harvest.
Ah...as I shut my ears to the lies of the enemy,
I made a decision to judge God Faithful inspite of all..
Yes we prayed, fasted, trusted and Our precious child still died
But that doesn't make God any less than he is..He is a Good and Faithful God
I made a decision not to allow my experiences define my God.
I handed my Fears over and received faith for the road ahead..

What news have you received Beloved..
It doesn't matter how negative or impossible it is...
Whose Report would you believe...
Lets walk this faith walk together...What ever report is challenging God's authority
let us lay it at his feet and exchange our fear for faith
and confess God's report concerning that situation.

Your past experiences,Hurts or disappointments do not in
any way define how big or great Our God is..
It doesn't matter how grave the news is.
He is Still God,Still Strong,Still working miracles for his own.
I shall Testify..and so would you..
Stay Strong...
Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever.PS 25:3NLT

Ah! Thank you! I will not let my circumstances or experiences define my God. He is who He is and He will be who He will be. All glory, dominion and power belongs to Him. HOLD ON SIS!

WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?

Before the novelty of the new year wears off Let me take time to welcome you to 2015 and wish you a great year.. I so love a new year,it is a constant reminder of the Kind of God we serve.. who gives us another opportunity To start again, dream again, run again..regardless of what May or may not have happened in the past year.. Permit me to take a slow ride down memory lane as I look back at the highlight of my year 2014... I must look back so that I can appreciate  from whence God has brought me and where he is taking me to. I must look back lest I take for granted all he has done for me. I must look back so when the enemy comes to lie to me that God hasn't been good I can count my blessings and make My boast in the Lord. 2years ago after the loss of my daughter I found out that there was a 50/50 chance that the next child I conceived  was also going to die. I remember the consultant looking at I and my husband with a very sad face as he told ...

THANKSGIVING..

I have never had to struggle for want of what to write but I have literally spent the past minutes just staring at my screen.... where do I start from is the issue at hand How do I compress the faithfulness of GOD to me in just a post...hmmmm.. I turn 28 today..yet it seems I have been here longer.. I marvel at the quality and the richness of my life.. The wealth of experience and all that God has invested in me... For all his many blessings,For his favour and his Presence  Lord for all these and more..I say thank you I woke up today with gratitude, with a heart full of praise...God has been Good to me.. I take a walk down memory lane and I go back 15 years  to a time when I first accepted Jesus. What I am most grateful for is this decision I made to follow hard after JESUS A lot of times I failed Him,strayed away, messed up,blew my chances But His mercy never ceased and  I kept seeking and running after him.. I have come a long way 15 years later,I still l...

Who is your father?

Who is your father? I remember the first time I travelled to my village without my parents I must have been in primary school and my dearest grandmother of blessed memory insisted my parents brought me over for the weekend. Village life really and truly intrigued me, I loved the simplicity of communal living and how content everyone seemed, food was eaten fresh from the farms, with the large itigidi river providing fresh fish and water, and in the evenings, a dozen children would gather in my granny’s living room to watch a DVD, what was there not to like, for a child living in the city and raised overseas, village life was exciting, refreshing and alluring. That was the first of many visits, the older i got,  my grandmother became the most influential woman in my life, especially as I had lost my mother at age 14. She was wise, inspiring and I picked up my literary prowess from her as she and my mum piqued my interest in books. She would make me write letters to her and...
